“Second stay, same perfect service” – Reviewed June 15, 2012 at Tripadvisor
This was our second stay at avista in just over a year. We reviewed it last time and could not find a fault with this hotel. Again this hotel was top notch 5 star.
We were on our honeymoon and decided to stop by this hotel as it was one of the best we knew about in the karon kata area. We decided to get the avista club room looking over the sea, they are exactly the same as deluxe rooms but better view and top floor and a few nice extra touches.
On our first night we arrived they had set out a honeymoon room setting for us, flowers, fruit and champagne. The second day we received a chocolate cake so was very welcoming.
Again the service was excellent, very friendly staff.
Breakfast is very good and lots of food, the pools are awesome and huge, but this time there was lots and lots of kids so we didn’t use the pool much. The games room is good for a few games of pool or table tennis. The gym is also very good, quite small but maybe one of the best latest equipment hotel gyms I have seen lately.
There is lots of restaurants in kata and would recommend wine connection..it’s about 5 mins walk from hotel, very cheap wine and good food for good prices, plus there is a Starbucks 5 mins away too which is a nice stop at for morning coffee and before walking up that steep hill to the hotel again.
Would I return? Yes if I was staying in kata again
Would I recommend? Yes definitely
